Ruth is a specialist podiatrist in nail surgery, minor procedures and injection therapy. She has extensive experience in treating ingrowing, involuted and pathological nails in both the NHS and private practice. Ruth has worked within the NHS for 6 years in generalist and specialist roles across London, Scotland and the South West. Her final role was Clinical Lead and Specialist Podiatrist in Nail Surgery before she joined Footworks in 2016.
Ruth comes from a family of podiatrists and since graduating from the University of Southampton she has completed the following postgraduate courses:

· Podiatric Acupuncture
· Diabetic Foot Module
· Dermal Fillers of the Feet
· Melanoma and Skin Cancer Early Detection
· Covid-19 Vaccinator Training
Ruth has a special interest in minor surgery and is currently undertaking further training in skin and nail surgery procedures alongside biopsies.
Ruth enjoys all aspects of podiatry including biomechanics, routine and verruca treatments. She is well practised at various local anaesthesia techniques and performing Verruca needling.
Ruth strives to provide a friendly yet professional manner at each appointment ensuring she adopts a patient-centred and evidence-based approach. She tailors her treatments to each individual depending on their needs, medical history and personal preferences.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Ruth returned to the NHS as a Covid Vaccinator for North Bristol NHS Trust, a role that she found thoroughly rewarding and has continued around her podiatry work.
Ruth is a Bupa registered and is covered to perform initial assessment, total and partial nail avulsions, and gait analysis.
